Bonander's music has an intrusive darkness that leaves no one untouched. From a feminist and norm-critical perspective, heavy topics are conveyed through beautiful lyricism and melodic playfulness in challenging electronic soundscapes. The epic 'Martha' is based on the protagonist of a book by the first woman ever to receive the Nobel Peace Prize, Bertha von Suttner. The book ’Lay Down Your Arms’ is about the peace activist Martha who in a male-dominated everyday life tries to get the men she loves to refuse war.
